Frequently Asked Questions

What are your prices?

How long is a piece of string? In the world of photography, one size doesn't fit all and every shoot is so different. I have basic packages outlined in my service guide that outlines approximate costs however, variables include prop purchasing, travel, extra retouching, models, location and equipment hire and licensing costs. Photography is an ongoing investment and price shouldn’t be the determining factor in choosing the right photographer.

Do you sell art prints?

I sure do. My collection of travel images are available for purchase. They are printed on the finest quality archival quality art paper. Visit my online store for more info.

Are you also a graphic designer?

Actually, I was a designer first, prior to venturing into photography. I studied Visual Communication and Design at Deakin University, graduating with high distinction, and went on to have a 15-year career in publishing, the music industry, and fashion!

What is your booking and shoot process?

Upon your inquiry, we will have a discovery meeting or phone call to discuss the who, what, when, and where. Then we lock in a date and set a time. Via email, you’ll receive three important documents:
• Photography Contract
• Questionaire
• Booking invoice

Your booking agreement will outline all the important details for you and your photo shoot. A 50% instalment is required to confirm your booking. This payment reserves my time and is non-refundable.

Your questionnaire is to help us fine-tune your vision. Once you have completed the brief I will prepare a mood board for you to review. It’s important to ensure we have this finalised prior to your shoot so I can prepare appropriately with gear, locations and props should we need them.

Why is your booking fee non-refundable?

Like many people in the service industry, we need to manage our time so we can service our clients the best way possible. A deposit is required to secure my time and lock in a date. If you cancel at late notice, it’s very unlikely I will be able to refill your spot and thus will have lost potential work and income. Further to this, a lot of preparation is also required prior to the shoot, and this fee covers my time working on your brief, mood board, location scouting, prop sourcing, and onboarding you as a client.

Why can’t I use presets and Instagram filters on final photos?

As you have paid for my art and unique style, you can not add any edits of your own. This is outlined in detail in your photography contract. This includes any filters in Instagram or any photo editing apps including FaceTune. I believe FaceTune to be unethical and do not condone my art being digitally altered to portray a version of you that does not exist. This is strictly enforced to protect my art and my integrity as a photographer.

Where are you located? Can we still work together?

I am based in Hampton, Victoria however I work with clients all over Australia. I have a studio from which I shoot all of my product photography from. You can send your products to me for me to shoot. For all location-based shoots, travel time is charged for shoots outside of a 20km radius of Melbourne CBD. For all interstate and international shoots, travel fees will be charged in accordance to the shoot requirements.
